LUSH: MASK OF MAGNANIMITY

Hi loves, hope your all well. If you read one of my previous posts (click here.) you'll know I've been trying out the Lush 'mask of magnanimity' My face recently has erupted in spots -how lovely. Therefore decided to try out a new face mask as my Una Brennan one has almost gone.
This mask is targeted towards blemish prone skin and can be used on face and back -which I think is fab! Lush have recently come out with a self preserving version of this mask which i guess means it will last longer? Which is a bonus!

"A multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin - now in a self-preserving formula."
"Easily smoothed over the skin anywhere you like, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you remove it. There’s also mineral rich kaolin to nourish, antibacterial honey, and peppermint oil to stimulate the blood cells just under the surface of your skin to leave it looking bright and refreshed."

Like you can see in the rather attractive picture above, the mask is a thick green coloured texture and smells of mint ice cream -yum! What i absolutely love about this mask is that when you wash it off it leaves my face feeling so soft due to it being quite exfoliating, yet its so gentle and doesn't leave my sensitive skin feeling irritated. As far as blemishes, I have defiantly noticed my skin and spots looking a lot calmer. Due to the mask being quite abrasive whilst washing it off I have noticed my scarring seem to reduce too. I have been loving this mask, to the point where I'm probably using it too much. In conjunction with my REN face wash which i also have been trying out (review to come) my skin is looking a lot clearer.

Thank you for reading my blog, be sure to follow on bloglovin. Have you tried this mask, whats your favourite?

  1. That sounds like a nice mask, I just have such sensitive skin and I'm allergic to a lot of stuff that anytime I go into Lush my eyes just start streaming etc :| xxx

  19. When I first started buying Lush masks I was torn between this one and the cupcake fresh one. I went for the cupcake one and didn't really see any results so I regret not choosing this one, it sounds really good! I love how it had faded your scarring, that definitely sounds like something I need, next time in Lush I think I'll pick a pot up for myself!

  25. I used to love this mask when I was about 16 (nearly six years ago!) and you've reminded me to pick it up again - I remember my skin always looking much calmer and clearer after using it. Masks are my favourite thing to buy too, they're so great for pamper evenings and giving yourself a little treat :)

  26. I'm going to visit a city in my province (North-Brabant, The Netherlands) next week with my Colombian friend. This city happens to have a LUSH store, so for the first time ever I'm going to be able to buy some of their amazing stuff. I'm planning on getting the Love Lettuce mask, because I've wanted to try it for some time. Also, I want to get my hand on some of their bath bombs. Taking a bath is my ultimate way of relaxing after a busy week at uni. I just discovered your blog, and I love it!
